About me

I, a citizen of Nepal, is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Tourism, Recreation and Sport Management at University of Florida. I have more than five years of experience in carrying out different types of research in the Natural Resources Management sector. My master’s degree thesis entitled “Study of Kolhuwa Buffer Zone VDC of Chitwan National Park in Relation to the Livelihood Needs and Available Natural Resources” focused on how the resources’ insufficiency and inequity in the outer zone of the national park has been compelling people to use the core zone, illegally, for their daily subsistence; and how that has been affecting endangered species, including one-horned rhinoceroses. For my PhD, I am working on how human elephant conflict can be transferred into human elephant coexistence.
